About the Artist

About:

Cathy grew up in Columbus Ohio and began drawing and painting as a young girl. She attended The Ohio State University and graduated from The Columbus College of Art and Design. She moved to Acworth Georgia in 1991. She is has been married since 1983 and has a grown daughter and son.

Watercolor was always been her media of choice, and recently she has added painting in oil and acrylic as well. Her Watercolors are painted in a very realistic style, and she explores other styles in oils and acrylics. Cathy paints house portraits, pet portraits, athlete portraits, flowers, birds, landscapes/seascapes, architecture, horses...and is always willing to consider requests. Cathy paints from photos which are provided by those commissioning her and/or photos that she has taken herself.

Cathy became an exhibiting member of Gallery 4463 until it closed in 2015. In 2017 Cathy helped open the Acworth Arts Alliance's -Art House, as a Founding Member. She is currently the Executive Director and continues her painting passion.
